There were three things that Lizzy and Greg wanted of their wedding day – that it be fun, joyful and beautiful. When we met this couple it was easy to see how we could make these priorities come to life. From their engagement story including Greg’s proposal picnic, the fresh spring theme for the wedding styling came to life.
As guests entered the reception venue, they entered a green paradise. In the foyer, vibrant turfed grass lay underfoot and rustic planter boxes overflowing with sweet flowers reminiscent of an English cottage garden, complete with farm ducks, welcomed Lizzy and Greg’s family and friends in a relaxed style. An antique dresser and family photos of the couples’ parents added touches of home.
Pre-reception canapés and drinks were served amongst sweet botantics on moss lined tables as hanging glass ball votives added warm candlelight to the room. Through the soft organza drapes, the dining hall burst forth with joyful abandon and beautiful styling. The tablescapes were rich with gold guilded chairs and pillar candles, sophisticated place settings and lavish elegant florals, perfect for a glamourous evening in a spring garden. Over the bridal table a decadent floral arrangement hung from the exposed beams of the warehouse venue, soft ferns and fresh foliage cascading down towards the table. Under the crystal chandelier, Lizzy and Greg danced the night away in wedded bliss.
